Bourbon is great to cook with as well. For November and December, we are featuring a bourbon/orange/pecan crème brûlée for breakfast. We also make a bourbon BBQ sauce for wings, and a bourbon mushroom sauce for rib eye steaks! It adds notes of caramel and smoke and enhances stews and chili as well.

A bit of background on Bourbon

Bourbon is an American Whiskey produced under a specific set of guidelines, and predominantly made in southern Kentucky. This fine spirit had its start in the 1700s, with the first settlers of Kentucky. In those days, difficult-to-transport crops were instead turned into much easier-to-move whiskies. These early whiskies also happened to offer a welcome respite from a laborious frontier life. Over successive generations, Kentuckians have continued making and refining these unique whiskies, often using the same process as their ancestors. Today, you will find a range of Bourbon styles, including traditional, high-rye, and high-wheat bourbons.
